Privacy Window Treatments For Any Room In Your Home
With privacy window treatments, you have the choice of all the different kinds of window treatments available today. From roller blinds, to louvered blinds, vertical, drop down or horizontal blinds. Many people use sheers as privacy window treatments, but if the window is in a place that’s high and hard to reach, with any kind of privacy window treatments you are eventually going to have to get up there and clean.
When shopping for privacy window treatments, that is a good thing to keep in mind. Do you
really want to have to get up on a ladder every time there is an accumulation of dead bugs and spider’s webs? If you live in a tropical, sub-tropical or hot climate like I do, or your window gets a lot of sun during the day whatever month it is, purchasing and hanging drapes is probably not a good idea, because before long, the color will come out of them and they will look terrible. If you have a window that’s high up on a landing and gives natural light onto the upper floor hallway or staircase, you probably don’t want to permanently block out the light with a rolling blind or drapes, despite the fact that you have a neighbor who likes to hang out in a room that looks directly into your house.
Not always curtains or blinds

The light that streams through stained glass is beautiful, and stained glass effect window film is a great choice. It should only take a few minutes to install, it doesn’t fade or need washing, it certainly doesn’t need any kind of rails which you would need with drapes or sheers, and it blocks the view from anyone who wants to see in your house surreptitiously. If it’s a small window especially, the stained glass effect film can cost a lot less than blinds. You just put it straight onto the window and forget it, although you won’t, because every time you go past that window you will see the beautiful colors reflected onto the walls and floor, and even if you are stark naked – nobody will be able to see you!
If you have large windows that require privacy window treatments, drapes and curtains have become incredibly expensive to have made. The better the quality the longer they last – but do you remember your grandmother’s drapes? She had them when you were born and she still had them thirty years later. The entire room had to be decorated to match the drapes and not the other way around!
Most people like blinds these days, they are easy to clean and if you choose a plain, neutral color, you can decorate the room and they will pretty much match anything you do, without having the expense of replacing them. Vertical blinds are made in many different sizes, each strip in the blind can be wide or pencil thin and can be purchased in many different colors and some look like wood to match your décor.
